  • problem statement The manual leave management system is often cumbersome, time-consuming and prone to errors as employees end up submitting their leave requests on paper or through emails. When the incoming requests start to build, it becomes overwhelming for the approvers, and they may even miss a few. This negatively impacts the employee experience. Manual leave management could also mean that leave records are not always documented properly, which leads to a higher chance of your organization facing compliance issues. The company also faces a challenge of unplanned leaves due to emergency or illness which pose a challenge in managing immediate staffing requirements, maintaining morale and ensuring employee satisfaction. When there's no system to manage employee leave, employees are less aware of the amount of sick, casual, and earned leave they are entitled to. This will cause several issues, ranging from increased absenteeism and lack of transparency to lowered productivity and poor well-being. Proposed solution I hereby propose a solution of developing this leave management system that will enable employees to request for leave, managers to approve or deny them and administrators to track and manage leave data .Adding to it will also have a few features that will contribute to the employee satisfaction. User authentication: Employees, managers, and administrators will have their accounts with appropriate permissions by introducing the access control list that simplify the way local users ,remote users and remote host are identified by use of an authentication database configured to ensure only approved users are allowed access to the system. ii) Leave request submission: Employees can submit leave requests with details such as start date, end date, and reason. iii) Leave approval: Managers can review and approve or deny leave requests. iv) Leave balance tracking: The system will calculate and display leave balances for employees. v) Leave history: Maintain a record of all leave requests and their status. vi) Notifications: Automatic notifications to employees upon request approval or denial. vii) Leave policies are specifically tailored to fit every department or work sector.. viii) Better analytics and report making
