General

  • Source code is the instructions (code) that tell the program (software, app, website) how to function.

  • When you buy software you have no option to add or maintain the product. You are delivered an executable file that you cannot customize, improve, or maintain.
    When you buy source code you have full control to modify, adapt, and update the software under your own terms. Buying source code gives you the advantage that you can use that code in any way you want, even just using parts of it into future applications.

  • You can browse our catalog of products and search for some interesting source codes. You can visit the product’s page to learn more about the product. If you can’t find what you want on PieceX, you can post a request here: https://www.piecex.com/requests/add . By posting a request about the source code you need, developers will be able to know your requirements and publish a product according to your request.

  • If you have any questions, you can ask the sellers via direct message or by using the tab “Talk to seller” located on the product details page. If you wish to send a private message to the seller, please visit the seller’s profile and select the “private message” option.

  • There is no registration fee, annual fee, monthly fee, billing, etc.
    Users only have to pay the purchase price of the source code/Item. Tax is included in the price. Please notice that a payment fee will be added into your total purchase amount depending on the total amount of the purchase.

  • To ensure the quality of our products, we perform periodical inspections to review that the product as described on the product’s page. If the product does not have a checkmark “Product inspected by PieceX”, it means that the product hasn’t been inspected yet. If you wish to request a source code inspection prior to your purchase, please click on “Request a product inspection”.

  • If you lost your password, you can reset it at the login page by clicking on the option “Forgot Password”? . We will send you the required steps to your email address registered at PieceX.

  • If you lost your password and email please contact us . A customer support representative will assist you.

  • You can contact PieceX by accessing the website on our contact page. Please let us know your inquires or comments, we will be glad to assist you.

  • You can change your public username (seller name) by updating it at My Account . This will update your seller name on your products and your public profile name.
    Please notice that you can only update your public username once every 4 months.
    This change will not alter your login information (username used to sign in to your Piecex account). Please use your original username or email to sign in to your account.
    If you wish to change your email please contact us . A customer support representative will assist you.

Purchases

  • You can visit the product’s page to learn more about the product. You can also download the “User Guide” so you can check if the product matches your requirements.
    If you have any questions, you can ask the sellers via direct message or by using the tab “Talk to seller” located on the product details page.

  • Please notify it with the "report" button in the purchase history.
    We don’t process any refund, except for obvious quality defects.

  • Payment can be done by PayPal or Credit Card (stripe). If you do not have PayPal account you can use your credit / debit card as well. Supported credit cards are Master, VISA, American Express, Discover. We are planning to continue to expand the card handling companies and the methods of payment in the future.

  • A payment fee will be added to your total purchase amount depending on the total amount of the purchase.

  • In the case of payment with PayPal account, the receipt is issued by PayPal directly and you will receive notification from PayPal.
    In the case of payment with credit card, the usage statement issued by the card company will be the receipt.
    Please consult us if you need a separate invoice.

  • Feel free to modify the source code after purchasing it. It is possible to modify the source code you bought on PieceX, and upload it on PieceX to sell the modified version.
    However, without modification: resale is prohibited, inside and outside PieceX. Please check the terms and conditions at the license page for more information.

  • All the products listed to sell on PieceX are digital products and cannot be returned, so all refund requests are processed with that in mind. Once a purchased product is refunded the seller will not receive rewards for that product purchase.

  • Feel free to modify the source code after purchasing it. It is possible to modify the source code you bought on PieceX, and upload it on PieceX to sell the modified version.
    On PieceX we provide a wide variety of products sold by different sellers. We also conduct periodical inspections on the products to ensure the quality of the products so that the products function as described in the product detail page.
    Please look for the mark “Product inspected by PieceX” at the right side of the product page. If the product has said mark it means that the product has been inspected by PieceX.
    Also, feel free to check what other users who bought the product thought about the product by clicking on the “Review” section at the product details page.

Earning Payments

  • We will transfer your payments(earnings/seller’s payment) by the end of the month when the sale was finalized.

  • When your product is bought, by the end of the month we will transfer your rewards/earnings into your Paypal account. If you prefer, we can also make a wire transfer into your bank account via TransferWise. Please notice that charges apply for the option of Wire Transfer.
    To manage your payment details options please visit “Account” and let us know your desired payment option at the tab “Payment Details”.

  • “Pending Earnings” refer to the sales that are still pending to be deposited into your bank account or Paypal account. Your earnings are transferred to your PayPal account or Bank account by the end of the month when the sale was made.

  • The rewards (earnings) are calculating by deducting the taxes and fees. PieceX will charge a percentage as concept of use for the technologies, platform and services provided. We try to keep this fee as low as possible to increase the seller’s rewards.
    You can check the approximate fee amount and the approximate earnings at step 2 “Publish” on the product upload page or at the edit page of your published product. We will transfer your remuneration into your PayPal account by the end of the month when the sale was finalized.
    Additionally, we use Artificial Intelligence for dynamic price. This means that our artificial intelligence will update your price to maximize your profits.

Selling on PieceX

  • After your source code is sold, you will receive your payment at the end of the month that your code was purchased.

    *The percentage of rewards (earnings) may change without prior permission.

    Earnings will be deposited into your PayPal account or via wire transfer into your bank account (TransferWise) at the end the month. Please notice that charges apply for the option of Wire Transfer.

    You can check your pending earnings on your “Dashboard”.

    Please update your PieceX profile and provide your PayPal account or Wire Transfer details to receive your earning rewards. To receive your payment into your PayPal account please complete, “Identity Confirmation and Email Verification” using your PayPal account.

  • On PieceX, Software development companies and developers publish their Software as source code for other users to buy.
    Basically, Software developers can sell their products at PieceX.
    On the other hand, you can sell the software that you own the copyright (developed by Software development companies which transferred the copyright to you).
    If you don’t know how to sell those software, you can contact our PieceX consultants for consulting.

  • PieceX is an AI-Powered Source Code Marketplace where Software developers can sell their source code for apps, websites, templates, and scripts.
    If you are an I.T professional or software developer you can start earning money from your source code, you just need to register at PieceX and upload your source code by visiting the “Sell Code” page . The website will guide you into uploading your source code.
    After publishing, your product will be available for other users to buy.
    At the end of the month, we will deposit your earnings from your products’ sales of the month into your Paypal account or via Wire Transfer.

  • If you wish to start selling a product you can do so by login in and accessing the “Sell Code” page. The wizard will guide you into uploading your source code into the marketplace.

  • When your product gets a sale you will receive an email notifying you about the sales details. Additionally, if you are registered to allow notifications in your device (chrome) you will get a push alert and the sale details will appear in your dashboard. You can post your product on your social media to promote more sales or click on the social media icon at the left corner of your product page to post your product into an SNS.

  • The buyers need to understand why your product might be useful for them before they decide to buy it.  The User Guide tells people that your product is for them.
    Our products require to submit a User Guide as a minimal requirement. Please provide step by step User Guide with instructions on installation, customization and use and formatted as a .pdf or .docx or .doc.   • Your product main image is very important since it creates the first impression on the buyers. In fact, it’s a make or break deal. A good or bad main image will translate into potential buyers clicking and checking your product details. If the image is bad then you are risking losing a lot of sales even if your product is excellent.
    At PieceX we want to simplify our sellers experience and give all the tools to increase our seller’s sales. That is why we offer our sellers our free customized “Main Image Creation Tool”.

  • Yes, however please notice the following guidelines regarding third party libraries and External Sources:
    When possible, include the external source inside the compressed folder .zip of the product. Only link to external sources if it is absolutely necessary.

    Any external source added to the product, must be validated to ensure that the input/output is as expected.

    Verify the external source before adding it to your product. Update your product periodically and remove/replace the external source when it is no longer relevant or no longer in line with the original objective.

    Include only external sources if you are confident that the owner would not object to it or comes from an Open Source License, include the credits to the original author. Obtain permission if possible.

    Users should be able to easily identify which external sources are linked to your product and it must be included in the User Documentation.

    Do not link to external sources that are primarily commercial (for example, which includes advertisements), are offensive or contain misleading information.

    Only include external sources which you are confident that are secure and do not contain any measures that may compromise security or add any threat or vulnerability. The communication of the external source must be encrypted and must contain the necessary security measures.

    If the external source requires the use of credentials or keys, please add them inside the product or explain in detail how to obtain the credentials.

    The inclusion of external sources is only allowed as input. Do not add any mechanism to collect the data or store data.

  • Yes, it is possible for anyone with the qualified skills to upload a product at PieceX. ( However, minors are excluded. )

  • It depends on the code popularity, number of sales and price forecast.
    Percentage (rate) is private, but you can check on “my page” for the amount of remuneration.

  • To ensure the safety and quality of our product we will perform an inspection to your source code. During this inspection we will verify that your product does not contain any harmful code and functions as described in your product’s description and live preview. We will notify you with the results of the inspection via email.

  • Yes, you can change your product price by editing your product. Please notice that at PieceX provide our sellers with an AI dynamic price to optimize our sellers and buyers revenues so your product’s price might change with time.
    You can always re-price your product according to your own judgement and our AI will take it into consideration for the next pricing update.

  • You can see the chart and daily detail of your product’s price on your product’s page in the tab “Price Statistics”. You are also able to download the chart and look some interesting data like average price, minimum price, maximum price and our own price forecast predicted by using AI.

We want to make this process as easy and simple as possible for our users so you don’t have to keep continuously updating your prices or stress yourself by following the financial changes for I.T products.   • All the products are source code, please check the product description and download the User Guide Documentation so you can check what the product includes and if it fits with your requirements. You can click on the product that you are interested in and see the details about the support and product characteristics that the seller provides.
    Depending on the product and seller, it will specify if the product includes support or not.
    If the product indicates that it includes support, the support will come from the seller itself. Once you purchase the product you will be able to request support in a direct conversation with the seller.
    If you have any questions you can ask the seller directly by clicking on the product details and selecting the option “Talk to the seller”.

  • If a product includes support a legend like the following “Support Included” will appear at the right corner of the product details.

  • If your product includes support you can request the seller for support by visiting your purchases page . On the right side of the product you will find the option to “Request Support”. Please fill in the form and your message will be immediately sent to the seller. You can start a conversation with the seller and ask as many questions as needed.

    As part of our referral program , when you invite a friend to join PieceX you’ll both get PieceX points after your friend registers.

Customizations

  • All source code products at PieceX are customizable, you can adapt it according to your needs by programming or modifying its functions. If you don’t have the time to adapt the source code to meet your needs, the seller/developer of the product might be able to do it for you. If you want the seller of the product to accommodate your particular preferences and expectations, you can request a customization for an additional cost.

  • Source code products at PieceX are sold as it is. If the product includes seller support the following applies:
    - The products with available support will receive support from the seller for a period of up to 6 months after the purchase.
    - Direct responses from the seller regarding technical questions.
    - Source code updates regarding reported bugs.
    - Guidance from the seller regarding the source code functionalities or information not included in the User Guide.
    Customization, installation, or support for third-party sources are not included with the standard support.
    If you want to include a new feature, function, or integration, you will need to request customization. By requesting customization, the seller will alter the source code to reflect your needs and requirements for a price defined by the seller.

  • Seller support is applicable for products that specifically state so on their product page. Activities like technical support, source code upgrades regarding reported bugs, or any functionality described on the product page are included as seller support for a frame time of 6 months after the product purchase. If you wish to add or modify the source code in a way that is not included in the product page, you will need to request a customization. Customizations are priced according to the seller’s judgment in terms of complexity and are related to the requirements described by the buyer.

  • Any source code modification applies as customization. Installations or non-quantifiable activities do not count as customization.

  • The process for customizations starts when you make a request for customization. To make a request for customizations, please visit your purchase history page and add the specific requirements. Describe in detail the new feature/function or process of the source code you want.
    After you submit the request for customization, the seller will send you a quote with the specific contents of the customization and the price.
    When you receive the quote, you will need to add it to your cart and proceed with the checkout.
    After payment (please notice that the amount will have a “pending” status until the customization is completed), the seller will start the development of your customization after your payment has been authorized.
    The seller will have a maximum of 20 days to deliver your customization. When the seller uploads your customization, you will receive an email notification and you will be able to download it.
    You will have 3 days after the seller delivers to approve or request a review (report) of the customization.
    If you don’t approve or request a review for the customization will be marked as ”completed” and your approved payment will be finalized.

  • When you request customization you will need to add your estimated budget and all the requirements needed from the customization. When the seller receives your customization request, they will add the specific conditions and terms included in the customizations along with the price associated with the activities. A quote is the estimated cost for the particular customization. When you receive a quote from the seller, you can proceed with the payment or reject the quote. Please communicate with the seller why you rejected the quote so that the seller can send you a new quote that fits your requirements.

  • No. Final prices from the customization are defined by the seller and they are not increased or decreased by our AI dynamic pricing.

  • The seller will start the development of your customization after you proceed with the payment. After your payment is authorized the seller will have a maximum of 20 days to deliver the customization. When the customization is ready, we will inform you via email and you will be able to download the customization by accessing your account at PieceX.

  • When you proceed with the checkout of your received quote, your payment will have a “pending” status. The total amount of the customization will not be charged until the customization is delivered, approved, and completed.

  • To request customization, please visit your purchase history page and click on the button “request customization” located a the right of your purchased product. Please fill in details of the specific characteristic you require from the customization and your estimated budget. After you submit your customization request, the seller will send you an official quote for the customization. Once you proceed with the payment of the quote, the seller will start with the development of the customization.

  • The price of the customization is defined by the seller. Since each customization is different, the seller will send you a quote with the cost for your customization.

  • No. Please proceed with the purchase of the product before requesting customization. Please communicate with the seller in advance to clarify if the seller is willing to provide customization services.

  • After payment (please notice that the amount will have a “pending” status until the customization is completed), the seller will start the development of your customization after your payment has been authorized. The seller will have a maximum of 20 days to deliver your customization. When the seller uploads your customization, you will receive an email notification and you will be able to download it. You will have 3 days after the seller delivers to approve or request a review (report) of the customization. If you don’t approve or request a review for the customization will be marked as ”completed” and your approved payment will be finalized.

  • The customization will include all the contents of the quote delivered by the seller.

  • If it’s been more than 20 days after you proceeded with the payment of customization but you haven’t received the customization, please contact our support center at supportcenter@piecex.com

  • If you haven’t approve delivered customization, once you log into your PieceX account a window will show up asking you if your approve or not the customization. Please click “yes” if you approve the customization. You will have 3 days after the seller delivers to approve or request a review (report) of the customization. If you don’t approve or request a review for the customization will be marked as ”completed” and your approved payment will be finalized.

  • If you haven’t approve delivered customization, once you log into your PieceX account a window will show up asking you if your approve or not the customization. If you do not approve of the customization please click “no”. We will conduct an investigation and inform the seller about your concerns.

  • You will have 3 days after the seller delivers to approve or request a review (report) of the customization. If you don’t approve or request a review for the customization will be marked as ”completed” and your approved payment will be finalized.

  • You can only have 1 open request for customization per purchased product. After the request for customization is marked as “inactive” (completed or rejected by the seller), you can request another customization and proceed with the normal customization flow.

  • The quote for your customization should be as specific as possible.
    - Please write down the new feature/source code modification details.
    - Detail the specifics of the customization. Indicate what is not covered.
    - Add essential terms and conditions and set up a price for the customization.

  • You will be able to deliver/upload your customization source code as soon as the buyer proceeds with the payment of the quote. You will have a maximum of 20 days to deliver your customization.

  • If you haven’t delivered (upload your customization at piecex) your customization after 20 days of the payment of the customization, the buyer will have the right to request a refund and you will not be paid.

  • When you are ready to upload your customization, please visit your customization page and under ‘Active customizations’ click on the “upload source code”. Please upload the source code of the customization in a .zip folder. The customization will only be available for the user who paid for the customization (the user who requested the customization).

  • You can re-upload your customization by clicking on the button “re-upload source code” on your customization page.

  • We will transfer the earnings from the customization after the seller approves your customization. Your earnings will be transferred to your selected payment method by the end of the current month when the customization was approved along with your sales from the current month. If you have not yet updated your payment options at PieceX, Please login into PieceX and edit your account to update your payment options.

  • Yes. The development/acceptance of customization request is at the discretion of the seller. You can reject a request for customization by clicking on the customization request and clicking the button “Reject Request”.
